WATCH THE PORPOISES ROMP AROUND

Whale Watching in the Little Belt strait

In the waters surrounding Severin you can experience the highest concentration of porpoises in the Danish waters. Approximately 3,000 porpoises romp around the Little Belt strait!

The porpoises are here all year round, but they are typically most active in May, June, July and August. During the summer there are countless whale watching tours which make it possible to see the small whales up close.

As an extra treat, the whale watching tours offer magnificent views of the two beautiful bridges that cross the Little Belt strait.

Whale watching onboard AVENTURA, Mira3 or M/S FORTUNA

Whale watching tours start in Middelfart’s old harbour where both the galleass AVENTURA, the tour boat Mira3, and the fishing boat M/S FORTUNA are moored during the summer. They all offer a 2 – 3-hour tour. During the tour the crew will tell you more about the porpoises and the area.
